Purpose and scope
This policy explains how Tampa Vacations, LLC (“TampaVacations”) handles errors and updates on tampavacations.com. It applies to property listings, guides, blog posts, and all editorial pages.
Definitions
- Error: factual inaccuracy or materially misleading content.
- Correction: a fix to an error with a clear note to readers.
- Clarification: added context where wording could be misread.
- Update: new information that does not change the original fact pattern.
How to request a correction
Use our Contact page and include the page URL, the quoted passage, and the proposed correction with a reliable source.
Review and timeline
We log every request, assess sources, and decide on a remedy.
- Urgent issues affecting safety, pricing accuracy, or legal rights: as soon as possible.
- Standard issues: acknowledgement within 1 business day; resolution within 5 business days when feasible.
How we correct on the site
- We fix the text and add a short Correction or Clarification note near the affected content or at the end of the page.
- Notes state what changed and when.
- We do not remove errors without explanation.
Cross-platform corrections
If an error also appeared on other channels we control, we correct there too and, when possible, link to the corrected page. This includes social posts, email, and push notifications.
Versioning and “Last updated”
- Important pages display a visible Last updated date.
- All pages carry a machine last-modified timestamp in the source code.
- For substantial rewrites of time-sensitive blog content we may publish a new page rather than overwrite the original. The new page reflects current facts; the original remains accessible or is redirected with context.
Records and transparency
We keep an internal log of corrections and significant clarifications. For recurring issues we may publish an overview note or FAQ update.
Escalation and complaints
If you disagree with our decision, reply to our confirmation email or resubmit via the Actionable Feedback Policy. We review escalations in good faith and without retaliation.
